Four selected as winners for GLC Diversity Roundtable's Diversity Best Practices Awards
LAFAYETTE – One business, two nonprofits and one individual were named winners of the Greater Lafayette Commerce's Diversity Roundtable Diversity Best Practices awards, the roundtable announced.
The Journal & Courier will be given the 2015 Workforce Diversity Best Practices Award. Congress Street United Methodist Church and The Arc of Tippecanoe County will receive the roundtable's 2014 DRT Diversity Leader Awards for nonprofits. Barbara Clark, a retired Purdue University diversity leader in the College of Science and co-facilitator of the Diversity Roundtable, will receive the individual DRT Diversity Leader Award.
The awards will be presented at the Greater Lafayette Commerce's annual dinner at Purdue University on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
About the Diversity Roundtable (DRT)
The Diversity Roundtable is a volunteer organization originally sponsored by the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, now the Greater Lafayette Commerce, to promote diversity in the community. The DRT focuses on education, consciousness-raising and action. Participants include concerned residents and representatives from various area businesses and organizations. The DRT meets the first Thursday of each month at the YWCA from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
